Driving Thru San Jose and Escazu – August 24th, 2017

Today we took the bus from Copey de Dota to San Jose and picked up a rental car. Unfortunately the nice young man at the Adobe car rental programmed in our drive to Tamarindo and paid zero attention to what he was doing. We ended up at the Tamarindo Condominiums in Escazu, just outside of San Jose. Then the GPS refused to allow us to reprogram it. Escazu was like a mini-America suburb with Starbucks, McDonalds and high end retail stores and silly over-fancy condo highrises. Took another hour to figure out exactly where we were and get to Ruta 1 towards Guanacaste. Today’s pictures feature the dogs of Adobe car rental, assorted street beggars near Escazu and some of the sights of Escazu in the pouring rain. Nothing like having to dodge the one-legged man while driving in heavy city traffic.
